The retail sales channel is the most difficult of the existing sales channels. However, it is just as difficult as benefical.

Some of those benefits are:

An introduction of a new product is more readily accomplished with a retail store involving no set up costs, as opposed to a wholesaler where the launching of a new product involves higher initial costs.

The risk of late payment or non payment is minimum.

Direct contact with the consumer is without a doubt a must, because smaller retail stores are found throughout every city, especially those cities with a culturally diverse population where we can make it an aboslute necessity to cater to each individual group, as opposed to large mega stores in the rest of the country.

 

For these reasons and more, retail stores are a very attractive and important part of sales.
